76 Zentner,Hitler's Atomic Bomb

76 Zentner, Hitler's Atomic Bomb
captured in 1945 &used against Hiroshima

Back in 2014, because of my conspicuous interest in the Schuman Trinks atomic bomb development on Rugen Island, my email inbox was graced one day by an email from Dirk Finkemeier. In part because his email explained the 76 Zentner to me in broken English with a difficult to follow narrative, at first I was highly skeptical, though sympathetic. Gradually as I researched Dirk's claims for corroboration, I too  became convinced.

THIS IS REALLY Dirk's story, I only wish he could get on with it and write the book which he has clearly researched.  I don't think telling his story damages Dirk's chances of writing his book. there are too many secrets still kept about WW2.

My father's generation who fought &/or died to resist Hitler's fascism, including modern Germans deserve to know the truth. This revelation in no way flatters or praises the Nazi movement. At the very end Hitler proved to be a coward who ran away & abandoned the German people to pay for the suffering which he created.

German Atomic bomb 76 Zentner found near Goslar

Dirk Finkemeier who wanted to share with me his research on Nazi nuclear research and subterranean Uranium enrichment by centrifuges at Espelkamp. In sometimes broken English, Dirk told me the Germans did in fact build the Atomic bomb using Highly Enriched Uranium
"HEU" designated as the 76 Zentner. Over a string of emails Dirk told me more details which he gleaned in research performed by Major (Retired)Keith Sanders with the US Library of  Congress.

Jointly via email exchanges they both persuaded me that Keith Sanders had located Archives in the Library of Congress alluding how the first 76 Zentner discovered underground near Goslar was flown out of Germany by Charles Lindbergh slung under a B-24 bomber, then re-used later to destroy Hiroshima known as "Little Boy."

It is an established fact that engineers & German nuclear scientists were taken to Fort Strong in Boston Harbour in 1945 to work on use of atomic weapons against Japan as part of Operation Overcast:Operation Overcast

It is also known that Operation Overcast modified Little Boy with radio altimeters and tail fins called the California Brake.

According to a wartime report held on microfilm file at Maxwell AFB, Alabama, S.R.A.4394, the US 9th Army captured a working German Atomic bomb on 26 April 1945 near Goslar. The device known as 76-Zentner weighed 3.8 tons and the document notes it was flown back to the United States by Col Charles Lindbergh who in addition to being a qualified B-24 pilot Lindbergh was also a consultant to the US Navy Technical Mission Europe.

Keith Sanders also wrote to me about Espelkamp:
Westfalica tunnel system

My father was in the battle group which fought their way in through 2,000 SS defenders and captured the factory at 3.10 pm on Wednesday 4th April 1945. He was the source of the alarm, which led to “Operation Teardrop” by the USN 15/16 April sinking U-1235 and U-880, they missed U-857…. I have an IWM photo of him driving his little unit of RAOC ammunition technicians off a class40 raft on 24th March 1945. His boss Major Roy Tucker (standing rear on raft with greatcoat) was still alive (84) in 1998 for my father’s efforts he was awarded a DSO! Only awarded to officers, as lesser ranks are considered too stupid to ever merit such an accolade.”

Dirk Finkemeier also wrote to me about Keith Sanders' father:

“His father discovered in April 1945 the German Atomic Bomb Factory, called MUNA Luebbecke in Espelkamp. On the 4.th. April 1945 the British found 40 centrifuges and an underground reactor…Around that wood called Lange Horst, south of Espelkamp was also buried an atomic bomb, called 76- Zentner Bomb (the IG Farben Bomb). It weighed 3,8 tonnes the same like “Little Boy.” In 2011 Prof.Dario Biocca from Peruggia University published an article about MUNA Espelkamp in La Republica.”

The underground centrifuge plant at Espelkamp referred to was concealed beneath a varnish oil plant
, which was built over in modern times with an elementary school where children mysteriously began developing radiation sickness in the 1990s. The German Government abused draconian denazification powers to suppress reporting of radiation sickness in children.

..back to my summary

Espelkamp… Nazi Germany’s secret Atomic Bomb factory

On 4th April 1944 the British 6th Parachute Regiment accompanied by the 11th Royal Tank Regiment equipped with Comet Tanks skirted Osnabrück. All around them most German forces were simply surrendering and marching westwards into captivity, but ahead they came aginst fierce resistance at the little town of Espelkamp from an SS Regiment of 2,000 troops. These troops were part of a specialist rocket battery for the launching of V-2 rockets.
Their V-2 rockets were not just any ordinary rockets, but were specially adapted to deliver Atomic warheads and Tabun nerve gas in a last ditch defensive action for the Nazi regime. Allied intelligence was tipped off by the capture of an SS Grenadier named Plumeyer.
Under US interrogation Plumeyer told a fantastic story about a camouflaged underground factory for Atomic bombs and filling V-2 rockets with nerve gas. The complex stretching from Leese through Espelkamp was linked by 50 kilometres of subterranean tunnels with Minden. It was this complex that the SS were desperate to defend to the death and also the reason for the British assault on the town.
Embedded with the 11th Royal Tank Regiment was Royal Marine 30AU Commando and a special unit of T-force which included a specialist ordnance detachment, No.1 Mobile Unit RAOC corporal Llywellan Sanders' unit. Together they formed what was known as a T-force detachment.

The task of T-force was to gather hi-tech Nazi weaponry, but the highest priority of all was to snatch Nazi nuclear secrets.
The star of the show was 30 AU Commando made famous after the war by connection with its commander Ian Fleming the author of James Bond novels. The unit sent to capture Espelkamp was officially known as Naval Detachment 1749 and known in the field by the code name Royal Abert.
A special field HQ was set up for this T-force detachment at Osnabrück the day after Espelkamp fell known as HMS Odyssey. Ostensibly it’s cover was as an administration and accounting unit, but from 1st April 1945 when it received orders at Princess Gardens, London to immediately relocate to the front line everything about its deployment was rushed and nonsensical. Its real purpose was administrative support for the discreet recording and dismantling of a Nazi Atomic bomb factory.

For once the miraculous underground nuclear factory awaiting Fleming was not a figment of his fevered imagination and perhaps it provided the real life inspiration for some of his later novels?
During March 1945 the British crossed the Rhine. Officially the mission for 6 Parachute Regiment was to liberate Minden 20 kilometres further inland towards Hanover and link up there with the US 5th Armored Divison, but Espelkamp with its huge ammunition dump was the real objective.
Corporal Sanders volunteered to join No.1 Mobile Unit ROAC. It was a chance for excitement and his knowledge of German munitions made him a vital technician to T-force. For his conduct he was awarded the DSO, a medal only normally awarded to officers.
What we know about Espelkamp today derives mainly from what Corporal Sanders shared shortly before his death with his son Keith in the summer of 1952.
After fighting at Espelkamp subsided entry was gained to the bunker and inside the young British NCO found 40 Uranium centrifuges, a functional working nuclear reactor and a large 3.8 tonne Atomic Bomb inscribed “To be fired only by order of the Fuhrer.” It was called 76-Zentner.
This discovery still remains classified to this day and concealed by the British Government. Historians still falsely maintain the Nazis never succeeded in developing a working nuclear reactor, yet according to Keith Sander’s father there it was at Espelkamp.
Today Keith Sanders and his friend, a German co-researcher named Dirk Finkemeier struggle with subtle censorship in British and American media to share information about this secret Nazi Atomic Bomb factory.

Germans were also known to have built underground Uranium centrifuge facilities at other locations such as Kandern and also because the company Anschultz Co. in Hamburg was contracted to mass produce centrifuges in 1944 these claims about Espelkamp seem quite plausible. The Americans were unable to develop Uranium centrifuge enrichment  during WW2. centrifuges could enrich Uranium 30 times faster than the enrichment gaseous diffusion methods  used by the Manhattan Project at Oak Ridge. The Germans further accelerated centrifuge enrichment with Betatrons, roughly similar  to  electromagnetic separation at Y-12, Oak Ridge.

Here is what Keith Sanders wrote to me about Espelkamp:

“My father was in the battle group which fought their way in through 2,000 SS defenders and captured the factory at 3.10 pm on Wednesday 4th April 1945. The nuclear reactor was buried beneath the North end of Lange Horst wood an area which is now enroached by public housing development. On January 3rd, 1945 the British brought Prof Werner Heisenberg to the site to interrogate him about the Nazi project. Nowhere in our history books or his autobiography did Heisenberg ever mention this."

Dirk in the course of his emails seemed convinced that the British recovered more intact 76 Zentner bombs. The Bomb evacuated by Lindbergh was found weeks later by the American ALSOS Mission near Goslar.

A British Intelligence Objectives Sub-committee (BIOS) report during WW2 noted that an aerial test of a massive test bomb when dropped over a forrest above Starnberger See SW of Munich, caused a blast radius of 4.5 kilometres and damage out to 12.5km.

Postwar British Uranium enrichment at Espelkamp

After WW2 numerous Nazi nuclear scientists previously held at Farm Hall were moved to Alswede, a little Hamlet right next to Espelkamp where they continued to work for the British on Britain’s Nuclear weapons program until 1948.
Given that Alswede had no nuclear facility, this appears to back up the claim that the British kept Espelkamp in operation well after WW2 and kept it a fiercely guarded secret from the Soviets.
After the British abandoned the underground centrifuge complex they sealed the tunnels and bulldozed over the entrances. The area was turned into a shelter for 2,500 former German POWs returning home from Soviet POW camps. Eventually a school was built over the entrance and then some years ago the school had to be closed when unusually high numbers of children became ill with radiation sickness.
Eventually in 1948 when the CIA discovered the existence of Britain's secret centrifuge enrichment plant at Espelkamp, Washington, expelled Britain from the Manhattan Project.
NAZI Atomic bomb project not only provided Uranium for the Hiroshima Bomb , Little Boy was a Nazi bomb

USA did not enrich enough Uranium to build Little Boy
Odd corroboration that USA did not design the Little Boy Hiroshima bomb:

By March 1945 Oak Ridge had only succeeded in enriching just 16kg of HEU (U235) far short of the 64kg required. The United States had a ponderously slow method for Uranium 235 enrichment known as gaseous diffusion.

By mid 1946 the Hanford nuclear reactor site was suffering a risk of fire from temperature spikes caused by the Wigner effect and had to stop production of Plutonium. A small team at Sandia laboratories were tasked to recreate the Little Boy design and were hampered oddly enough by the lack of any drawings or plans. Eventually in 1947 this team produced just six copies of the little Boy Hiroshima bomb all withdrawn in January 1951.
Francis Birch is credited as the man who developed Little Boy for the Manhattan  Project, yet several aspects of this claim do not ring true. Thin Man
IN EARLY 1943 Birch was appointed to the E-5 Group to build a gun barrel type Plutonium bomb. HE worked on Thin Man design until August 1944, Birch claims to have begun assembly of Little Boy with guns delivered to Los Alamos in October 1944.
Starting from just 16kg of  HEU in March 1945 Manhatten project could never have furnished 64kg of Highly Enriched Uranium by July 1945.  Given  the K-25 Enrichment plant was only able to enrich 3.5 ounces of Uranium per day by 3-4%. & the Y-12 Electromagnetic separation plant could only enrich 200 grams of Uranium by 12% per day at the  beginning of late February 1945. it is pure fallacy that the Hiroshima bomb was MADE in USA.
